GENERAL RULES


The following rules and regulations have been made for the safe operation of the pool, and to facilitate your comfort and pleasure in the use of these premises.

The Board of Trustees has charged the Pool Manager and staff with the responsibility of maintaining the safety, orderliness and cleanliness of the pool and grounds.  They have been authorized to enforce the following rules, or extend them as necessary, in the best interest of the membership and of the Corporation.

GUESTS

  1. Member’s Responsibility:

    If a member brings a guest, each guest must be registered, and the proper fees paid.  The member must remain on the Club premises as long as the guest stays and said member is responsible for the conduct and actions of his guest.

  2. Admission Fees to be paid upon entry:

    $5.50 Monday

    $8.00 Tuesday – Friday

    $10.00 Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

    $5.00 After  5pm every day

    $120.00 Pre-paid Guest Pass – good for 20 visits

    Note:  Admission fees are the same for all guests.  No fees are charged for children age 2 and under.

    3. Limit on Guests

    The privilege of bringing guests may be limited, at the discretion of the Pool Manager, to prevent overcrowding.  A member wishing to bring ten (10) or more guests must receive prior approval of the Pool Manager. The member must provide a guest list and pay all fees in advance.

    At the discretion of the Pool Manager, prospective members may be admitted for a tour of the facility.  However, the prospective members must be accompanied by a pool staff member at all times.

    POOL DATES and HOURS

    The dates of the pool opening and closing and hours of operation vary from year to depending on when schools close for the summer and open in the fall, which affects availability of staff.  The dates and hours will be posted at the pool and on our website, www.perryhallswimclub.com.  Opening and closing dates will be included in the Membership Newsletter and Invoice mailed to members in January.

    POOL HOURS – FULL TIME SCHEDULE

    MONDAY 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

    TUESDAY – SATURDAY 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. 

    SUNDAY 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

    Note:  The pool may close 1-2 hours prior to a scheduled event (i.e. School’s Out, Back to School, etc.) to allow for preparations.

    USE OF PREMISES 

    1.  A maximum speed of 5 mph will be strictly observed on the club driveway and parking lot.

    2. Enter on Schroeder Avenue; exit on Cliffvale Road.

    3. Park in prescribed areas only.

    4. A member or guest shall promptly pay for any property of the Corporation, broken or damaged by the member or guest.  No Corporate articles or property shall be removed from the premises.

    5. The Corporation assumes no responsibility, and members or their guests can have no claim against the Corporation for the property of members, or any guests, which may be brought into or left on the premises.

    6. The Corporation assumes no responsibility, and members or their guests can have no claim against the Corporation for any accident or injury to any person or damage to their property.

    7. Food or refreshments may be consumed only in prescribed areas.

    8. Food or refreshments is not permitted in the main pool or baby pool or on the apron of the main pool and baby pool. 

    9. No fires are allowed on the Club premises.  Stationary grills in the picnic area are provided for cooking; these are restricted to charcoal briquettes only.

    10. No unnecessary or excessive noise is permitted.

    11. Members are asked to refrain from exhibiting excessive public displays of affection, either in the pool, or at any location on the premises.

    12. Adults at least 21 years of age may consume alcohol responsibly. Any adult who has the responsibility of a non-swimmer is encouraged to remain vigilant if consuming alcohol. The Club takes no responsibility for impaired activities.

      No ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES allowed on the pool deck. Any person may be asked to leave the premises per discretion of PHSC staff and /or board members if any behaviors are not consistent with the PHSC family atmosphere or have the potential for hostile and/or harmful circumstances.

    13. Inappropriate attire is unacceptable on the Club grounds.  Careful consideration should be given to the selection of swimwear and other attire.  Prohibitions include, but are not limited to, skimpy and/or see-through bathing suits and low-worn swim trunks.

    14. Unless specifically authorized, members and guests are not permitted in the FILTER HOUSE, SNACK BAR, OFFICE, or other RESTRICTED AREAS.  The Corporation assumes no responsibility for injuries sustained while in violation of this restriction.

    15. Members and guests are required to leave Club premises by CLOSING TIME.  The pool will be evacuated fifteen (15) minutes prior to closing time.

    16. The club does not provide a phone for general use.  The Office phone may be used only for emergencies.

    17. The pavilion may be reserved for private parties.  The fee is $50.00 for 4 hours, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., or 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and $100.00 for the entire day from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Reservations may be made at the pool Office. The fee is due when the reservation is made. Members are required to sign the pavilion rental form and clean the pavilion after using it.  If the pavilion is not left in the same state as prior to renting it, the pool management reserves the right to assess and additional charge to restore it to its original state. 

    18. Solicitation of any sort is not permitted on the premises without prior written approval from the Board of Trustees.

    SAFETY REGULATIONS:  POOL AND POOL AREA

    1.  All children under the age of fourteen (14) years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person, sixteen (16) years of age or older at all times.  All members and guests must abide by the pool rules and follow the instructions of the Lifeguards and Pool Manager. The Pool Manager, in his/her discretion, may require a parent to accompany a child if the child misbehaves.

    2. No one fourteen (14) years of age and under will be permitted in the diving area of the pool unless they have passed the pool test or provide proof of passing Level 4 of Red Cross swimming instruction (and must being wearing a pool band).  This rule applies to members and guests, except during pool instructional times with swimming instructors.

    3. No one fourteen (14) years of age and under will be permitted in the 5 foot section of the pool unless they have passed the pool test, provide proof of passing Level 4 of Red Cross swimming instruction, or are accompanied by a responsible person sixteen (16) years of age or older.  This rule applies to members and guests except during pool instructional times with swimming instructors.

    4. The Pool Manager, Assistant Manager, and swimming instructors are the only individuals who can supervise the pool test.

    5. No glass of any kind, including compact mirrors, baby food jars, and condiment containers will be permitted in the pool area. Note:  Only safety corrective eyeglasses will be permitted in the pool area.

    6. No running, pushing, wrestling or ball playing will be permitted in the big pool and baby pool or big pool and baby pool apron area.  Ball playing is permitted in prescribed areas only and at the discretion of the lifeguards and manager on duty. 

    7. No dunking.

    8. No conversation with Lifeguards on duty, except with regard to the performance of their duties.

    9. No floats or inflated tubes are permitted in the pool except during designated times.  This includes swimsuits with sewn-in flotation devices, life vests, puddle jumpers, etc.

    10. No diving in the shallow area beyond the marked limits. Diving is not permitted except for the main pool diving well.

    11. No general swimming in the diving area except when authorized by the Lifeguard on duty.

    12. Only one person is allowed on a diving board at a time.

    13. No chairs or chaise lounges are permitted on the concrete apron except in designated areas.  If moved, chairs and chaise lounges should be returned to their original location.

    14. Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children in the baby pool area and must remain inside the fenced area with their children.  Use of the baby pool is limited to children under six (6) years of age. Small plastic toys are permitted in the baby pool, at the discretion of the pool manager.  However, no food or drink is allowed on the apron of the baby pool. Chairs are located in the baby pool area, but, as a safety precaution, chairs are not permitted within the borders of the baby pool itself.

    15. All non-swimmers must be within one arm’s reach of an adult swimmer at all times. 

    16. Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children using playground equipment.

    17. All persons must immediately obey a request by the Pool Manager and/or his/her staff to vacate the pool for safety or health measures.

    18. Picnic tables are to be used only in the designated areas, for sitting and eating, and not for any inappropriate activity.  When finished, please leave the picnic tables and surrounding area litter free.

    19. The use of ‘heely’ shoes (with wheels under the heels) is prohibited on the apron of the pool.

    20. The use of skateboards is not permitted anywhere on the pool grounds, including the parking lot.

    HEALTH REGULATIONS

    1. No pets are permitted on the premises.

    2. Each person must shower before entering the pool.

    3. Admission to the pool will be refused to anyone with the following symptoms:  runny nose or cough due to a cold or the flu, infection or skin eruptions, bandages or casts. 

    4. Diapered babies are permitted in the pools, but a swim diaper MUST be used.  A child in a diaper must also have a bathing suit over the diaper.

    5. No expectorating or nose blowing in the pool, or pool area.  This will be strictly enforced.

    6. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, and vaping is not permitted anywhere on the pool grounds. You must exit the pool before smoking.

    7. Parents are required to warn their children about the potential urgency to urinate as a result of the child’s sudden immersion in the cool water of the pool, and to ensure proper use of the sanitary facilities provided in the bathhouse.  Please have your children use the bathroom and shower before entering the pool.


    YOUR PERSONAL INTEREST AND ASSISTANCE IS NEEDED IN KEEPING THE GROUNDS IN GOOD CONDITION AND CLEAR OF DEBRIS AND TRASH.  EVERYONE’S COOPERATION IS REQUIRED IN THIS RESPECT. USE OF TRASH CANS PROVIDED FOR THIS PURPOSE IS APPRECIATED.

    ANYONE NOT ADHERING TO THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS MAY BE REQUIRED TO LEAVE THE CLUB PREMISES, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE POOL MANAGER.  REPEATED FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN ACTION BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES UNDER ARTICLE VI, SECTION 4 OF THE BY-LAWS.
